Meet the Doctor
Background and Philosophy
Dr. Patricia Rupert D.C., L.Ac.
The more you know the healthier you can be, so in the course of your treatment, one of my goals is to encourage you to assume personal autonomy and control over your health.
I address not only your current symptoms but I also look at the patterns of symptoms you’ve experienced in the past, your past and current traditional and alternative care, including a review of the results of any x-ray and laboratory work you received.
As a chiropractor,an acupuncturist and an herbalist, I provide care for internal medical conditions as well as musculoskeletal injuries and complaints.
In arriving at your healing package, I look at your occupation, your nutritional needs, your exercise tolerance, your biomechanical structure and your lifestyle.
Through trauma or repetitive stress, the muscle spindle which communicates with your nervous system can weaken. I use acupuncture to wake up this communication, to balance opposing muscle groups and to supply the muscle with enough qito hold the joint in place.
My chiropractic method, using multiple gentle drops on a drop table, (rather than a single forceful thrust), takes into consideration joint distress as well as any traumas or repetitive stress injuries you have experienced. My chiropractic assessment and care involves the entire kinetic chain including the extremities. This means that I look at relationships in your structure between the neck, the shoulders, the hips, the knees, the ankles and the feet. Nothing occurs in your body in isolation and we recognize and treat that way at Advanced Wholistic HealthCare.
I am experienced in handling simple to complex health problems. I have completed eight years of training in alternative medicine including an internship at the Nanjing International Acupuncture Training Centre in Nanjing, China. I am a diplomate in Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I have a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. I have a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life West Chiropractic College. I am a licensed acupuncturist/herbalist and licensed chiropractor in the state of California.
My patients are individuals who want to look and feel their best, who want up to date information, who want a broader health care perspective, who want to get the most effective and safest care in the shortest period of time
