Chiropractic Care

I provide spine and extremity adjustments using the Cox table, a drop table, an arthrostim instrument and a tule board.  These newer correction methods are safe, comfortable and effective.  As a Doctor of Chiropractic, a licensed California acupuncturist and a clinical nutritionist, Dr. Patricia Rupert has years of training and experience with musculoskeletal issues and internal medicine problems.

Corrective Exercises

I teach my patients exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem while showing them how to avoid microtear stretches and DOMS.  (delayed onset of muscle soreness)  A strong emphasis is also placed on proprioception work which keeps the musculoskeletal system balanced and youthful.  All exercises, (or as I call them therapeutics), can be performed in the comfort of your own home with minimal equipment.  In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can also be out of place or strained by improper alignment, diet and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Lifestyle Advice

I often find it helpful to "coach" patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge.  Patients with scoliosis, ligament laxity and a history of a sprain/stain often need to modify certain activities and exercises to stay in optimal shape and avoid future injury.  My goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. I recognize that each patient is a whole person, and help them reach true health and wellness as a collaborate effort between doctor and patient.

Nutritional Counseling

I provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance your return to optimal health. Proper nutrients can help minimize formation of scar tissue and can also help reduce the risk of degeneration.   Don't wait to go from "itis" to "otis." Do you know which supplements and vitamins are good for you?  Dr. Patricia Rupert can provide a structured nutritional program based on your individual needs.

Acupuncture
Top of the line Japanese Serrin needles are used for optimal patient comfort and safety. Both 5 element and 8 principle technique is utilized.  Gua Sha, cupping and TDP lamps are also used.  Often for faster and more complete results chiropractic is included in the treatment mix.

Acupuncture is an excellent modality for symptoms of cold/sinus infections, nerve pain from shingles, post-operative recovery, auto-immune disorders, hormonal issues including infertility, menstrual and post menstrual and overcoming dysfunctional muscle patterns.

Cold Laser

By injecting billions of photons of visible and invisible laser light deep into tissue structures, swelling can be reduced and the healing of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints can be increased.

Cold Laser

LED (light emitting diode)
LED red light rejuvenates skin by stimulating fibroblasts to produce a little collagen and decrease the enzymes that break down collagen.  Depending on the condition, red (633nm) or blue (415nm) light can be used to treat:

  • Arthritis
  • Muscle Spasm
  • Decrease skeletal muscle recovery time
  • Muscle and Joint Pain
  • Muscle Tissue Tension
  • Joint and Muscle Stiffness
  • Diminished Local Circulation
  • Inflammatory Acne Vulgaris
  • Smooth out fine lines and wrinkles

Dr. Patricia Rupert D.C., L.Ac. is also a licensed California Esthetician.

Her combination of chiropractic, acupuncture and nutritional care have contributed greatly to my improved health and, indeed, my outlook on life. I credit Dr. Rupert with helping me recover from the after-effects of a stroke and major surgery. In addition to her in-office treatment, following her suggestions about changes in my life style has had a major impact on my health. I highly recommend her"

  • An Apple a Day . . .

What is so good about an apple? Is it the color, ranging from ruby red to pale pink? Is it the crunch? The sweetness?
